Seniors Take the Win

PowderPuff Football 2021

Last night was the annual Powder Puff football game for the girls of CHS. The number of girls caused the game to be altered so it was played seniors against all lowerclassmen. The lowerclassmen may have had a numbers advantage, but the seniors worked hard together to create a plan for battle.

The game began with Kendall Armstrong receiving a pass from Shayley Larson to score the first touchdown for the seniors. The lowerclassmen fought back to tie the score 7-7 with a touchdown by Josie Lee. The seniors ran several different plays and got a pass thrown to Alyssa Stanley for a first down. Audri Kinsey received another pass from Larson for another touchdown.

Jazzy Ogden contributed to the lowerclassmen team by running the ball down the field to gain big yardage. Josie was a strong asset to their team and ran the ball down the field for several of their touchdowns. Shayley Larson, playing QB for the seniors, ran the ball in for another touchdown, and also received a pass from Audri to tie the score 28-28. Audri then took the role of QB and ran the ball in for a touchdown putting the seniors up 35-28 which was the ending score of the game.

All of the girls had a great time and that wraps up the homecoming week activities for this year. Make sure to come and support your Coyotes Friday night at the homecoming football game starting at 7pm.
