The School’s High Heel Wearing Queen!

Senior Spotlight: Katherine Skinner

Katherine came to Burbank in 8th grade and has been a Coyote ever since. She has been playing the piano for 12 years, piano is something Katherine really loves to do. If you’ve ever seen Katherine around the school you know she loves to wear heels, you can even catch her running the hallways in her 7 inch heels. Not only has Katherine participated in drama club, creative writing, and choir, but she and her friends have stated a new club called GSA (Gay Straight Alliance). When asked “What book has had the most influence on you?” Katherine said, “Gender Performativity Theory By: Judith Butler because, it helped me deconstruct my preconceived notion of the gendered roles in society, and learn that they are unnecessary and that freedom of expression is one of the most important things to have.” Currently Katherine is doing CNA training and plans to be a nurse after high school. She is also involved with ASB.
