On September 30th, 2022 the Mariners ended a 21 year playoff drought. This game was why you watch the Mariners.  The fans have had the lows, had the highs but most importantly the Mariners ended it in spectacular fashion. In the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and no one on the base,  Cal Raleigh was up to bat.  First pitch was low and outside of the strike zone. The second pitch was too. Finally Cal worked the count to a full count 3 and 2.  Then with the full count Cal Raleigh hit an absolute moonshot to the Hit it Here Cafe.  What an amazing end to one of the best games the Mariners have ever had.  The walk off homerun put Seattle in the playoffs and officially ended the 21 year post season dry spell.
