This past Wednesday the knowledge bowl team went up to Ellensburg to compete in the regionals competition, and they did not disappoint. The Coyotes started off strong in the written round scoring 25 points which gave them the early lead. In the first oral round they beat Highland in a close battle, winning by one with the final score being 9-8.

In the second round they faced Cle Elum and they put their foot on the gas scoring 17 points out of 30 and holding Cle Elum to 2. The Coyotes entered the final oral round with the lead however, they had to face Kittitas and White Swan.

The round started off slow with neither team taking an advantage. It all changed at around the halfway mark when our Coyotes slowly started to gain momentum which led to a fourteen point round. At the end of it all our Coyotes took first place in the region with a score of 65 coming in second was Highland with 55.

The Coyotes are set to compete in the State meet on March 11th in Wenatchee.
