My name is Avarie McKinnis. I’m a senior at Columbia High School. I used to play volleyball and softball but now all I do is compete in throwing events on our track and field team. My favorite event is probably javelin just because the run up and release are fun. I enjoy art and science, along with politics. I love making art and I want to be a professional tattoo artist. This summer I got to go to Oregon and stay at our little family beach house. I like to spend my time on the coast because I love the weather and the wildlife.
