River View Invite 2023 Track and Field

Yesterday (March 30th, 2023) The Coyotes traveled across the Columbia river to compete at the River View Invitational track meet. And the Coyotes did not disappoint. Elijah Kinsey started off the meet with a gold medal in Javelin and a bronze in the 100m, followed by Christian Luce winning bronze in the boys mile. Following the mile the Coyotes took second in the boys 4x1oom (Elijah Kinsey, Kayden Tuck, Shaun Wilder, Christian Luce), Anthony Thelander took third in the boys 400m, and Braxton Taylor took second in the boys 800m.  The last two events the boys team placed top three in was shot put (Shaun Wilder third), triple jump (Shaun Wilder 2nd), Triple jump again (Afton Thelander third)  and the boys two mile (Christian Luce 2nd). The boys team got second place overall.

On the girls side Marlee Paget dominated winning third in the 200m, first in 300m hurdles, first in triple jump, and second in long jump. Marlee jumped a pr of 29 feet and five inches to take first.

The Coyotes have had overall a very good start to the season and plan to continue their stretch into league and district competitions.
