Purdue Falls to Uconn In the National Championship

Purdue loses to the Huskies in a great game with a score of 75-60. This game took place on Monday at 6:20. This game went back and forth almost the whole game and then Uconn ran away with it at the end. The Huskies outscored Purdue in both halves with Purdue being outscored 36-30 in the first half and in the second half they got outscored 39-30.

Both teams did not shoot well from the three with Purdue shooting 14 percent and the Huskies shooting 27 percent from three. The Huskies played good defense causing 9 turnovers from the Boilermakers while Uconn only had 6 turnovers. Both teams shot well from the free throw line and overall field goal percentage but Uconn just shot a little better in both of those areas.

The star player for Purdue did have another great game, Zach Edey had 37 points and 10 rebounds. With shooting 60 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free throw line. The leading scorer for the Huskies in this game was Tristen Newton with 20 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. He shot 46 percent from the field and 40 percent from three and 100 percent from the free throw line. Both of these teams had great seasons but the Huskies were just a little bit better. Can the Huskies go back to back to back?
