Last week on Thursday, November 9, 2023, a group of students went to a field trip that Mrs. England put together. This field trip was held in Pasco in the Second Harvest building. We had to throw away bad onions and package good onions in boxes. Second harvest brings community resources together to feed people in need through empowerment, education and partnerships. It was founded in 1971 and incorporated in 1972. This harvest consisted of us going through boxes of thousands of onions. We helped with packing them and then helping clean up afterwards. We ended up with 3×5 boxes on 4-6 crates, so you can imagine how many onions there were.
