Giving Back For The Holidays

Canned Food Drive and Community Volunteering

We all know winter is the season of giving. During this time is when people find the time and money to donate for a good cause. It helps because it makes a difference in our community.

In Richland the 2nd Harvest mobile market was held in the parking lot of LifeChurch7. Around 50 volunteers from theĀ  church and Energy Northwest helped sort, bag and pass out free food to about 250 families in the Tri-cities.

How wonderful is that? Isn’t it nice to see people volunteering to help other people? If you want to help out with something similar, CHS is partaking in the canned food drive. So go to your first hour class and give as many cans as you can. Plus the class with the most cans gets rewarded with donuts. Also some of the teachers will be giving out extra credit for cans brought in. It seems like a win- win for everyone.
