With the District championship games wrapping up around the state, the Burbank Coyotes took home their 4th straight district title against c Tri-City Prep. League MVP Quincy Scott dropped 30 points, Tristan Frimodt racked up a 21 point 10 assist double double. The sniper Caden Ross went 4/4 on 3s in the second half to boost the lead in the 3rd and 4th in a 86-68 victory. With a win over the Jaguars the Coyotes are still one of three undefeated teams left in the 2B and they are the #1 team in the state tournament bracket, teams like number 2 Napavine and number 3 Colfax are the other undefeated teams.

The Coyotes first matchup for the tournament is Saturday against Chief Leschi, the number 8 seed in the tournament. A win for either team would put them into a quarterfinal game and the loser would have a lot of work to do as they go to the loser out game Wednesday in Spokane.

This Coyotes team came in 3rd place in the State Tournament in 2023 and they’ve only looked better throughout this season, most definitely the best team in school history. Even though the Coyotes are the number 1 seed they do not host Cheif Leschi.  The game will be played at Kamiakin High. Hopefully our Coyotes can win this Saturday to make the path for a state title a lot easier.

Game is Saturday, Tip-off at 4 p.m.
