Last Friday the boys basketball team played Mabton for the first game of the season. The Coyotes had a close game at the start and ended the first half leading 30-26. The Coyotes started hitting a lot of shots in the second half and ended the game 79-55 and scoring 49 points in a half.  The defense forced 21 turnovers on the night from the Vikings and led to easy baskets for the Coyotes in the second half.  Burbank had 3 players in double figures – Michael Lenke, Quincy Scott and Tristan Frimodt. Freshman Crew Pariera scored 8 points off the bench.

Saturday after the Coyotes made a trip up to Kittitas for there 2nd non league game. The Coyotes started off well again going into the half up 34-23. The boys were in foul trouble the whole game making some players not get time to rest and some sat with fouls. At the end of the game Burbank had 4 players with 4 fouls, but took home the win 70-44.  The win moved Burbank to 2-0 this season. Quincy Scott collected 17 rebounds on the night to complete a double-double of 16pts / 17 boards.

Last night Columbia-Burbank had there second home game and 3rd non league game against College Place. This game the C0yotes had good ball movement and were winning 40-21 at half. This allowed for everyone to get lots of time and pulled away with the win 80-47.  Quincy Scott led all scoring with 22,  Tristan Frimodt had 17 and Michael Lenke had 17.  Axyl Carter came off the bench to add 6 points and 8 rebounds.  The Coyotes are playing a fast pace and averaging 76 points a game so far.  Every Coyote scored in the game.  Burbank remained undefeated and College Place was handed the first loss of their season.

The next game will be away on Friday at White Swan, and the next home game will be this Saturday against Goldendale.
