The 2022/2023 Basketball season is coming to a start. The Coyotes lost one senior last year after being League and District champs as well as going to Spokane for State and placing 6th at State last year. The Coyotes have big expectations to live up to and have their first couple games this Friday and Saturday. The Friday game will be away at Highland, and the Saturday game will be home against Cle Elum for a rematch of last year’s District Championship. Cle Elum also returns most of their team and are ranked 8th in the preseason state poll.

This years schedule is going to be tougher than last season’s non league.  Burbank will be playing some of the toughest teams in the 2B and got invited to play at the Sun-dome tournament where they will play top ranked Brewster a team that lost in the 2B state championship and Overlake a private 1A school from Seattle currently ranked 6th in the 1A polls.

This year the varsity group will be Tristan Frimodt, Quincy Scott, Michael Lenke, Parker Nelson, Elijah Kinsey, Axyl Carter, Caden Ross, Crew Pariera, Ethan Szendre, Mason Schumacher, Logan Beck, and Gavin Kinzer.
