Boys+Basketball+3-peat

On January 28, the boy’s basketball team competed against the Dayton/Waitsburg Wolfpack. Coming off a previous victory against them 72-58. From the start the Coyotes were getting to work, by halftime the score was 58-8 and they were not backing down from there winning 84-20.

This victory made it the third year in a row Burbank has won the EWAC. In 2021-2022 the boys played against their cross town rivals the Riverview Panthers beating them 73-57, and the year before that in 2020-2021 playing Dayton/Waitsburg again and winning 80-44. These victories are just a stepping stone for more league champs to come.

Saturday was also Senior night for the Coyotes. This year the Coyotes had four seniors on Varsity: Michael Lenke, Parker Nelson, Axyl Carter, and Ethan Szendre.  The C Team had two seniors of its own- Creete Jackson and Christian Luce. All Varsity Seniors have been playing together since the 3rd grade and won three league championships in their varsity career and placed 6th at State last year. All four seniors have big hopes for their last season together in Burbank.

Burbank plays at home Tuesday at 6pm for the first round of the playoffs.
