Christian Luce is a senior this year. He was born in Fort Bragg North Carolina and is the oldest of six siblings, he has been going to Columbia High School for about a year and a half. Christian’s favorite class is History or Sports Lit. He likes to spend his free time playing football, running track, lifting, reading, and helping out others.

Christian is on the football team, he is number 42 he also happens to be on the track team. Christian’s says his favorite memory from being on the football team is suiting up in a Coyote uniform for the first time in Okanogan, it signaled a start of a new chapter for me as I started a new season on a new team with new friends and new coaches.

Christian said, “I had no idea how the season was going to unfold because everything was unfamiliar to me. But all of that uncertainty doesn’t matter anymore as I’m having the most fun football season of these last four years, and that is all thanks to my teammates and coaches for helping me since day one.”

His favorite part about track is that for that most part its an individual sport so the work you put in is reflected back to you and your hard work pays off especially if you make it to post season.

After high school Christian plans to attend Eastern Washington University, majoring in history while also going through their ROTC program which will lead him to commissioning into the army as a 2nd lieutenant. For those of you who don’t know what ROTC is, it the Reserve Officer Training Corps, you take a set of classes in a field called military science and once you complete all of the classes to complete the minor you earn a commission in the U.S. Army. The courses serve as leadership training and military training.

When asked who his favorite teacher is Christian said, “My favorite teacher is Mr. Gale because he is down to earth and is very helpful whether it’s through questions relating to history/government or just help in general.” When Christian first came to this school Mr. Gale was the first teacher he was introduced to.
